My birthday was on October 7th, so over a month ago. I'm still trying to catch up. On my actual birthday, we celebrated by going to Chili's! We splurged a bit there by getting the $20 deal (2 main dishes and an appetizer)! Yes, that is splurging for us. We usually eat out for less than $10. Nate also got me 2 of my favorite chick flicks. He got While You Were Sleeping and You've Got Mail. Of course, he also gave me Reeses. My parents, Nate's parents, and my grandma gave me money, which is always a blessing. Nate also made my favorite Chocolate Syrup Cake without my help this year! And he did a great job! Other than that, we just vegged on the couch and watched You've Got Mail.

The next day we went to Wagon Trails Animal Park which was basically like a Safari and a Petting Zoo all in one. It was sooo fun! And not too expensive, considering all that we got to see! While waiting for it to begin, we walked around the petting zoo part that had birds, goats, mules, and a couple of other things.

Then we headed up and got onto an open jeep/trailer with our tour guide and headed into the park. And these are the animals we got to see, feed, and pet!
| Camel |
This camel basically followed us the whole way to get food! One of them also dived into the car to try to get someone's bucket of food that they left on the bench! It was certainly a surprise to them! |
| Big Horn Bulls. This one's tongue was really funny |
| These horns were larger than it looks in this picture. You had to be careful where you put your hands! |
| Pot-bellied pigs and an emu. They never got too close because of the big animals |
| Deer |
| Llama |
| Here's that camel still following us |
| We can't remember what these are called. But they're cute and lived by the water |
Zebras. These were the only animals we couldn't pet. Apparently they don't like people. But they did come to eat when you put the food under the bench. They ate on the other side though, so I didn't get a picture of them very close. |
| Elk. They cut off their antlers early because they get too hormonal during the shedding time |
| Miniature horses. They were cute |
| Donkeys, miniature horses, and big horn sheep |
| Water Buffalo! "Everybody's got a water buffalo..." |
| Llama eating out of Nate's bucket |
| Water Buffalo again |
| Is this an antelope? Does anybody know? We don't remember |
| Ostrich. We were given special instructions on how to feed them |
| You could definitely tell they were birds. They would peck into the bucket to get their food |
After the Ostriches, they took us back. However, at this time of year, they always do an apple toss! So we rode a tractor trailer to the border of where the animals are kept. It was all decorated for Halloween and also had Spongebob. They gave us a bucket of apples, then we walked to the fence. There were a couple of apple launchers for us to use, and a couple of tubes for the little ones to roll apples down. You could also just throw the apples over the fence. We each used the apple launcher at least once, then just throw the rest of them over the fence so other people could use the launcher as well.

| Squidward! (not sure how to spell his name) |

This was really such a cool place and I am so glad we did it! It was about an hour drive away, but definitely worth it! It was a great birthday. Thanks Nate!
