Christmas!

It was the Davis side's turn for Christmas, so even though we had just unloaded all of our boxes and they were just sitting in the basement, we still took off to Tooele. Missy and Shawn and their kids were already there and Tiffany was coming a little bit later.
Easton and his gingerbread house
There was a list of activities that the kids wanted to do so they made gingerbread houses. Logan didn't care about it (and he napped through most of it) so we didn't make any, but all of Missy's kids did. In fact, Easton ate so much of his, that he ended up getting sick and threw up during dinner. Logan had thrown up earlier (because he frequently does when he is eating. He just puts too much in his mouth and doesn't chew very well) so I started worrying that they were sick, but it was probably just too much sugar.

Logan had a blast playing with Easton, but I'm not sure how much Easton liked playing with Logan! He didn't like sharing the toys he was playing with.

We ate a nice dinner that evening and then did the Christmas Eve program. Every family did some sort of "talent." Logan did the actions to "The Wise Man and The Foolish Man," my mom played the piano, Brinley & Shawn played a duet, Cambree & Sadie sang a song, and Avery said "Ho, Ho, Ho." Then we did the Nativity. I brought the puppets that Nate's sister Gina had made for us the year before. I thought the younger kids would have an easier time using those instead of trying to act things out. It turned out they still weren't into it much so the older kids had double or triple duty! I narrated and accompanied the songs. I think it was just the right length. Any longer, and the younger kids would have been throwing fits.

After that, we put the kids to bed and played Quiddler until they went to sleep. Then we set things up and went to bed as well. By this point, I was actually feeling sick with a bad cold. I almost always get fevers on the first and sometimes second day of a cold so I was feeling pretty crappy. And that night, my nose was driving me nuts so I ended up going upstairs to sleep on the couch so I wouldn't keep Nate or Logan up with all of my blowing of the nose. So I didn't sleep much and was very ready for the morning to come. So on Christmas day, I took a nap in the middle of the day. I was a bit of a party pooper, but I didn't feel well.

So Christmas morning, we actually didn't get up until about 7, ate breakfast, Logan put baby Jesus in the manger (as is the tradition in our family) and the kids went in to see their presents from Santa. There was lots of excitement and Logan was into it a bit more this year. He especially enjoyed pulling the stuff out of his stocking.

Christmas morning videos. The second one is a little long. Almost 3 min. Just to warn

After that, we moved into the family room and opened the presents from each other, going youngest to oldest. There were a lot of gifts so it took some time, but it was a lot of fun to see what everyone got. And Logan did a good job of opening the gifts with only a little help. I got some great gifts, but the best one was a sewing machine from my parents. It has a lot more to it than I had asked for, so I'll have a lot to figure out. So far, I've just used it for simple stitching, but I love it! After opening gifts, we played with our stuff (and kids stuff), ate lunch, then I took a nap while Logan was sleeping, then we went to Nate's house to finish Christmas there. I will do that on a different post since this one is a bit long.
Look at all those gifts!
