New Year's 2014!

After Christmas celebrations, Nate started studying for the BAR and I began unpacking and storing boxes we won't need for awhile. Cindy and Nate began getting their kitchen redone, so they started living upstairs while we were downstairs. It was a packed house for a few weeks! But it was fun! Logan and Jillian didn't always get along, but Mallory the dog and Logan were best friends. He always wanted to give her treats and her toys. It was pretty cute. They would follow each other around the house.
Unfortunately these are really blurry pictures because neither the dog nor Logan would hold still and I was using my phone instead of our camera.
So during the time the Cederlofs were here, New Year's Eve arrived. We did the usual and played games in the kitchen with lots of snacks and things. I pulled out Beyond Balderdash because I figured it would be fun to play something different. Matthew (the oldest grandchild that lives in Utah) got really into it and wanted to play it every Sunday after that. The kids were going crazy for awhile, so to save the sanity of Grandma and Grandpa, they put a movie on for them to watch. We put Logan down at his normal bedtime. It's just easier to play games without him around and he doesn't know that's a special day. When it was almost midnight, we watched the ball drop and drank some sparkling cider. Then we went back to our games. It was a fun night but I didn't get any pictures and I was getting sick again. And it will turn out that the whole household will get sick at different times, some of us twice, and it will take the cold about a month before everyone finally gets better. That wasn't fun!
