Pregnancy Post

Overall, pregnancy with Kylie was easier than with Logan. I was barely sick at all and most importantly, I didn't have bloody noses! Only one the whole time!

I was getting my body and mind really prepared for doing a VBAC by reading and practicing Hypnobirthing and doing yoga. It really helped me to relax and feel like my body was just amazing. One really cool thing I learned also helped my testimony. So in the Bible, after Adam and Eve transgress, it talks about how Eve is cursed with travailing in labor. But the book I read talked about how the Bible has been changed (which we LDS people know) and that that part was probably added in by evil men who wanted to put "women in their place". The author of this book had been around the world and studied birth in history and the only time birth is painful is if something is going wrong. At least, until early Christian times and in our western world. Then birth became this horrible, scary, lonely thing that women were cursed with. After reading this, I paid attention to that part in the temple, and they never said that Eve would be cursed with a painful birth. Just that she needs to heed to the counsel of her husband. So I'm a believer that birth does not have to be awful if we can just learn to relax our minds and bodies. Unfortunately, I was not able to test the theory. But there will be more on that in the next post.

So yeah, I was doing yoga as much as I could and certain poses and I would do morning and night to help my back. Of course I was tired and sore, but I was able to keep up with my 2 year old, so that was good. My feet and ankles barely swelled at all. This time, I craved sugary things. With Logan, I always wanted cheese, but with Kylie it was sugar. I didn't always cave on the cravings though, thank goodness. I actually didn't gain as much weight either and maybe it was because I had low amniotic fluid. I also felt like I was always thirsty. No matter how much I drank.

So here are some pregnancy pictures. I seem to have only taken 3 even though I swear I took more. Oh well. And I don't know how many weeks I was except the last one!
