Happy Easter!

I get the feeling life is going to get a lot busier, so I'll probably be doing even less blogging. Last Monday I had an interview with a call center called Infocision and I got the job! I start training on June 6, and then I'll be working a steady job M - F, 8 to 5 or 8:30 to 5:30 so no more free days of no subbing. But no more subbing! Yay! And more money! Yay! I'll be calling businesses to see if they want to set up an account with Time Warner Cable, or if they already have one, I will be trying to get them to upgrade. So I'm excited.

Also on that Monday, we got a car! It is a Ford, which is a bummer, but it's a fusion which apparently has won best car of the year. And it's a great color! So cute! And now we can both be gone somewhere different at the same time!

But the real reason I wanted to blog was about Easter! This was our first Easter together. However, last year around Easter time was when we started dating, so Easter will always be a special holiday for us. Last year, about a week or two before Easter, Nate had left a stuffed bunny with an egg full of Reeses on my door step. I thought that was the sweetest thing and it was the ice breaker! I knew for sure I wanted to date this sweet guy! I thought I had a picture of it, but I can't find it on this SD card. This year, he surprised me with a bag of Reeses and a card.

So Saturday, a family invited us to an Easter egg hunt and picnic (and practically the entire Canton Ward). There were so many plastic eggs for the kids! This family really went all out! We obviously did not participate in the hunt, but the food was delicious. I brought potato salad, my mom's recipe which is wonderful! And there were all sorts of salads, ham, and desserts.

On Sunday, I thought I'd make a real Easter feast. His family tradition is to do a ham, and we don't have a tradition in my family, so I decided to do just that. I made my first ham and it was delicious! I also made au gratin potatoes, deviled eggs, and cooked honey carrots. It was great! And the ham lasted almost an entire week!

After our delicious meal, we dyed Easter eggs! Because I have to do that every year! We don't have any of those wire egg dyers yet that hold the egg, so we couldn't get too creative with our egg dying, but we had fun!

The finished products. The 2 empty spots were used for the deviled eggs.
