Tiffany's Wedding

I was doing so well with blogging, but it got really busy again. I'm using all my spare time applying for jobs. And I finally have an interview next week! So hopefully something happens with that. I really can't handle subbing anymore. I'm completely burned out. I dread it every morning. But there might be a light at the end of the tunnel!

Anyway, I really wanted to blog about my trip to Utah for my sister's wedding about 3 weeks ago. Yes, my baby sister is married and she did it less than a year after me! How crazy is that? And she's almost 6 years younger than me! I guess that just goes to show that I was old when I got married and she is young! But he's a great guy, so we're happy about it.

So I got there late Tuesday, April 12th. The next day Missy and her girls came because they were on their spring break so it was really fun to see them and hang out and help with last minute wedding things. My mom always insists on making something even though she only had a little more than a month to plan this wedding. But she wanted to make skirts for all the little girls in the family.
Missy's kids, but JJ's Annie had one too. So cute!
Thursday I went to help with Bridals/Groomals at the Great Salt Lake. It was cold with the wind, so I helped Tiffany in and out of her coat between pictures. And of course fixed the train and attempted to block the sun or reflect it. The problem was that I am so short, and Tiffany and David are tall, so it didn't always work. David would do it if it was a picture of just Tiffany. We had fun. By the way, I stole all the pictures from Missy's blog. I forgot to bring my camera to the wedding!

That day, JJ and Kristy came with their two little ones. It was so fun to see them too! Annie had certainly changed the most! She's crawling and has the chubbiest arms and legs you've ever seen! That evening David's parents came over as well for dinner and some chatting. It was good to meet them. They are really sweet, nice people so I'm sure Tiffany will enjoy her in-laws.

The next day was Friday! Wedding Day! We just chilled and relaxed in the morning because it wasn't until 4:00. We got to the reception center just after 3:30 to help set up pictures and things, then came the wedding. It was a good program. I did get a little teary at first thinking about how different it was from my wedding, but they will make it to the temple in a year and it will be even happier then, so it's all good. They are both good people. The bishop said some good things, mostly about forgiveness and being unselfish which are both so important in a marriage! After the ceremony, we had a light dinner where I had to run to pick up the cake! That was a little nerve wracking! I drove slow and didn't make any quick turns or stops. I didn't want anything to happen to that cake! But I made it fine and it was beautiful, then I was able to eat. After that we did pictures, then it was time for the reception. It was fun to visit with family and friends that I hadn't seen in a long time.
The happy couple
Saturday I met with Nate's parents for lunch so we could chat for just a bit. Then I went to Provo to Tiff's apartment to watch them open up their gifts. Then we went to Missy's for a bit to eat and chat, then my parents and I went to my grandma's to chat with her and my aunt and uncle. Then Sunday was church and after I flew back and got here at about midnight. It was really good to see Nate after almost a week apart! That was the first time that we had been apart since our marriage and we certainly missed each other. He especially missed me:) He was all by his lonesome. He's such a sweetheart! We were almost constantly texting each other and called each other everyday, but being together in person is much better!
