Halloween and Thanksgiving!

I have been really bad about taking pictures lately. That is why I am posting about 2 holidays in one post. Because I have barely any pictures from either!

Halloween was pretty chill. We were able to dress up at work, and as I said in the post below, I dressed up as a pregnant person and announced our good news! Other than that, we carved a pumpkin (last year we did 2, but I knew I would be too tired to do one by myself, you know, the first trimester of pregnancy is like that). And the pumpkin is a very simple design for the same reason. We also watched a Halloween movie while carving it. We bought a bag of Reeses just in case we had trick-or-treaters, but we didn't have any, which made Nate happy. The door to our apartment building automatically locks, so I didn't think we would have any, but I just wanted to be safe. I have to say, I'm pretty excited about being able to do a little trick-or-treating next year with our baby. The pictures below are of our pumpkin. We are trying to make the same face as our pumpkin. It seems to be becoming a tradition!

The days between Halloween and Thanksgiving weren't too exciting. After a long day at work, I often fell asleep on Nate. I was also feeling sick. I never actually threw up, but I also never felt good. I had to be constantly eating but I would get bored of eating the same snacks. I'm so glad that stage only lasted a few weeks (probably around 6 to 8 weeks) and not the entire pregnancy. I was not a happy camper at that time.

Thanksgiving we went to my sister-in-law's and brother-in-law's house again in Greencastle, PA. They are the closest family to us, so it was really nice to be able to spend the holiday with family. Honestly, we didn't do a whole lot, which I was certainly ok with since I was so tired. We chatted a lot, watched some TV, and played Foosball. For Thanksgiving dinner, we went to a great restaurant there that does real Thanksgiving meals and keeps bringing as much food as you want. It was so good and no prep or clean-up! Friday evening after Thanksgiving, we went to the DC Temple because they do some great lights and a live Nativity for Christmas. When we got there, we found out they don't turn them on until December 1st. Darn! They did have some Christmas trees up in the Visitor's Center that were fun to look at and the missionaries turned on The Testaments for us to watch in a room all by ourselves, which was nice. A private viewing. So it was a little bit of a disappointment at first, but it turned out fun anyway.
