| Opening a valentine from Grandma Davis |
The day before Valentine's Day, Nancy made a bunch of sugar cookies and Logan (and I and Nancy) cut them out and frosted them. Jillian also frosted some when she came over to be babysat. Logan didn't end up doing very many but it was more than the last time he did it so he is getting better!
For Valentine's Day, I substituted at a school, which is never fun. Valentine's Day and Halloween are the worst days for teachers because the kids are just crazy and it's practically impossible to get the kids to do any work. So that was a tiring day and then Nate and I went out to Applebee's (thanks to my mom giving Nate a gift card for his birthday) while Steve and Nancy watched Logan. We went a bit early to try to beat the crowd and it pretty much worked. We also traded cards and sweets.
The 15th of February was Logan's 20 month birthday. I'm only going to do an update on him every 2 months now since he's not changing as much as he was.

Logan is talking more and more all the time and even puts 2 words together sometimes. For example, he says "Love you," "scuse you," and "help me." He says way more things now than I can remember so I won't try but it is nice that he can communicate so well. And that he understands things so well. However, he is definitely into throwing fits if he doesn't get what he wants and it gets much worse if he's tired. There's pretty much nothing we can do to calm him down. He can certainly be strong-willed when he wants to be. All I can say is that I am so glad we sleep trained him early because it would be way more difficult at this age. Because when he gets crying now, it is a lot harder for him to calm down. But to be fair, he is more often happy and fun-loving and loves to help and please.

Logan loves living here with "Mamma" and "Bampa." He loves to watch whatever Grandpa is doing around the house to fix things and he loves going to Grandma to get comforted when Daddy or Mommy tell him no. He also loves to get carried around by Grandma. He gets lots of time with Grandma since I work about 2 days a week and Nate was studying and now searching for a job. And he especially loves the backyard. All that space to roam around and to swing on the swing set.

Logan really loves to help right now. If he is getting into one of his not-so-happy moods, I can often divert his attention by asking him to help me with something. He likes to hold the dustpan when I'm sweeping, unload the dishwasher, and help loading and unloading the washer and dryer. He also likes to throw things in the garbage. And he doesn't like anything to be out-of-place (unless it is his toys). If something is out on the kitchen counters or a cupboard is open, he keeps saying "uh-oh" until we fix it. It's pretty funny!
