February & March Happenings

Nate took the bar! It was 2 full days and I drove him to Salt Lake and picked him up since they didn't have enough parking available. It was a relief when that was over. It was a stressful time. But then we had to play the waiting game to find out if he passed. Which we found out about a month later that he did pass! Hooray! And we found out a lot sooner than we expected so Nate was able to return the books that he had used to study so we could get a deposit back on those. That was a blessing.

Some fun things we did in February and March was to use our Pass of All Passes. We played miniature golf at the Trafalga (now called Seven Peaks Fun Center) in Lehi. It was way busy on the inside so we decided to go outside. We were a little slow since we had Logan with us, but he was pretty good at staying with us and enjoyed playing with one of the balls or golf clubs. A few weeks later, we went to the Seven Peaks Fun Center in Sandy and went bowling. We didn't have Logan as an official player but we let him take one of our turns every once in awhile. We would help him push it down the lane. He seemed to have fun and we had fun. I did a lot better on my first game than my second and Nate was vice versa.

We were also able to go to Avery's birthday party. We weren't actually invited but I was talking to my mom how I would've liked to have been invited to see Tiffany since I am actually in Utah now and can do things like that. So she talked to Tiffany and got us invited. So it was us with the grandparents from each side. Logan and Avery played together really well so that was fun.

We've gone to some local parks a few times when the weather is good since Logan loves getting out of the house.

Daily activities involved Nate job hunting (including going to a career workshop put on by the church that lasted 2 days) and me substituting 2-3 (usually just 2) days a week to bring in a little money. And we spend time with our calling as Primary teachers of the 8 turning 9 year old class. We also get to spend a lot of time with Nate's family particularly on Sundays when they often come for dinner. It's fun that Logan is getting to know his cousins. And Jillian (Cindy's daughter) gets babysat at grandma's about 3 days a week so they have had lots of time to play together. At first, it was rough and Jillian didn't want to have anything to do with Logan, but they are getting a long better now. Logan does like to try to push her buttons.

At the end of March was Women's Conference and my mom was able to get tickets for the Conference Center for all of her daughters to go as well as Missy's girls that are old enough to attend. It turned out that Tiffany wasn't able to come, so my Aunt Rae came instead. So we had 3 sets of sisters! My mom and one of her sisters, me and my sister, and Brinley & Cambree. We got there a little early so we could have an early dinner. We were planning on going to the Cheesecake Factory but there was more than an hour wait, which we didn't have time for, so we went to Kneaders instead. The line was really long there and the restaurant itself was too full to eat in so we found tables out in the mall, but it worked. And it was good. We then killed some time in a toy store before heading to the line to get into the Conference Center. It was really cool to be there when it was a historic event being the first time that all girls/women ages 8 and up were invited to attend. They had movie clips in between the talks and I was thinking those were probably especially there to help keep the attention of the younger girls. It was a fun experience.
