The Hogle Zoo

I am getting so far behind! But anyway, way back towards the beginning of April, Logan and I were able to go to the zoo with Grandma Summers, Cindy, Annika, and Jillian. Annika was going for a school field trip and Cindy was going as chaperone. Well Cindy hates to drive and the chaperones had to drive themselves, so she asked Grandma Summers to drive and invited us to tag along too. Of course I wouldn't pass up an opportunity for Logan to go to the Zoo, so we went. I did have to pay for myself, but not Logan since he is still under 2, so paying for one person wasn't bad. Cindy only had to watch out for 2 other girls beside her own daughter, so that wasn't too hard either.

Logan loved it! I think his favorites were the monkeys and giraffes. He also really enjoyed looking at a sleeping sandcat. It looked like a normal housecat except a bit smaller and the ears were more pointy and were hairy. He liked the Tiger too and made lots of animal sounds during the trip! We packed a lunch and had a great time!

 There was a play area with a ship and a huge slide (that I didn't let Logan go down). I guess when it is warmer, they turn on the water and it's a splash pad too.
