The Bean Museum & Dance Recital

Two of Missy's girls were in a dance recital, and Nate and I have been wanting to go to the new and improved Bean Museum at BYU, so we decided to make a day of it. We first went to the museum. It is way bigger than it used to be and things seem to be more organized and less crowded, even though it seemed like they didn't have as many stuffed animals as they used to. There was also a room that had Boyd K Packer's art and carvings in it. It was really interesting. We went before he passed away though. Of course, Logan's favorite part of it all was this little play area that had a slide out of a fake tree and a tunnel. It was packed with kids, but Logan didn't want to leave!

The one on the right was a wood carving Pres. Packer made as a young boy and the one on the right is later. You can see the improvement! Of course, I wouldn't be able to even do the one on the right!

This was cool because it was spinning around and was all action

This is mostly how Kylie enjoyed things
After the Museum, we went to the dance recital. Cambree and Sadie did a great job! The story was Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters. I don't have any pictures of that. My mom had Kylie pretty much the whole time but she was good! Then the group that watched the recital met up at Noodles and Company for dinner (my parents, Missy and her girls, Tiffany and Avery, and us).

The weekend before, I was able to meet up with my Delta friends at Katie Steel's house in Santaquin. Those of us with kids brought them with us (except I left Kylie with Nate). Apparently we mostly have boys and they had fun rough housing together but the 2 girls were a bit overwhelmed. We had a really fun time catching up though! We did get pictures, but I don't know where it went. I had to leave early because we were going house hunting later!

Our new house! Or will be
Kitchen - I don't like how dark the paint is, but that can easily be changed
We dropped the kids off at grandma's house and went house hunting. We looked at quite a few, but the 2nd to last one we looked at was on the border of Layton and Kaysville (townhouse) and was a 4 bedroom 3.5 bath and almost 2300 square feet listed for only 174,000. It had a slight smoke smell, but had all new carpet and was in a great location and had 4 bedrooms! So we decided it was the one and made an offer! We offered the full asking price but asked for closing costs and the fridge. They countered a few days later with asking us to pay closing so we countered back accepting the closing costs but also asked for the washer and dryer. They accepted! The closing date was tentatively set for June 18th.
