Swimming Lessons

At the beginning of summer, Logan had swimming lessons for his first time. He started out being 3 and had his birthday during the 2nd week. I signed him up through the community pool. It was 2 weeks long, 5 days a week. For the first week, he did awesome at listening and trying everything the teacher asked. The teacher said he is an "ideal" student. But the second week, he started goofing off a bit and had to be put on the side of the pool a few times. He is such a tease sometimes. But he improved so much with swimming! He still wasn't great at dunking his head under the water, but he was much more comfortable. And when I took him to the pool just the 3 of us, he would "swim" with his floaty thing and didn't have to stay right next to me all the time. I wanted to do swimming lessons again at the end of the summer, but I forgot to register first thing in the morning, so all that was left when I got on were times at 6:00 at night and I didn't want to do that. So we'll have to wait until next summer and be sure to register early!

Here he is doing "ice cream scoops" with his hands to "swim" out and pick up toys from the bottom. He was supposed to duck his head under to pick up the toys, but he didn't really do that.

Around this time we also went to the splash pad. For some reason, Logan didn't want to go again for the rest of the summer. I'm not sure what happened to make him feel that way. I only got this picture of Kylie and I. Logan was too busy playing!
