Some October Happenings

Friday the 14th, Nate went to BYU football game with people from work. It was against Mississippi State. We won in double overtime so Nate got home really late. But he rarely goes out so I'm glad he had the opportunity!

The next day we had a ward chili cook off. I don't ever make chili so I wasn't sure how the kids would like it, but they loved it! Logan had 2 bowl fulls with 2 different kinds and Kylie was shoveling her bowl down the best she could. It was darling. She was sitting on the chair and could barely see over the table, so she was tilting the bowl and shoveling it into her mouth. It was dripping down her shirt, but she loved it! I guess I need to make chili sometimes! The cub scouts also had a few little games set up that the kids had fun doing. There was a bean bag toss and a fishing pond.

Wednesday the 19th Logan had a preschool field trip to pumpkin patch. This preschool does field trips every month, which is way fun. Since this one was on a Wednesday, Nate was able to go. He said Logan was super good but Kylie was a pain and cried the whole time in the car and much of the end of the field trip. That girl can be such a drama queen sometimes. But they had tons of fun:

This is a slide, there were also some tires and things for a makeshift playground

Corn hole

A "corn box" (like a sand box)
There was also a hay maze and a place where they had a story about all the different kinds of squash with their names. Some of the names were really funny.

That evening Logan had his second to last soccer game. It was a bit cold when the sun started to go down.

Saturday was Gage's Birthday party. It was a costume party so Logan dressed up in his Bumblebee transformer costume and Kylie in her giraffe costume. They made monsters, played Bingo Halloween style, had snacks, did a cupcake walk, and a couple of relay games. Then the kids had tons of fun just playing in the Davis's huge backyard. Later that afternoon, Nate took Logan to see Finding Dory for their monthly one-on-one.
