November Happenings

Right before Halloween, Logan had his first Primary program. I was really excited about finally having one of our own children in it. He did a great job with his part. He said it loud and clear! He said "My favorite scripture hero is Nephi." He was supposed to say more (because he obeys or something like that), he had more memorized, but the other kids in his class only said about that much so I guess he felt like he didn't need to say more. But he behaved well up on the stand and we were proud of him.

I had my first Parent/Teacher conferences in the beginning of November so that was a crazy week. I was gone all day Wednesday, from 7:45 am - 7:30 pm. So Nate took the day off and took care of the kids all day. It was a nice enough day that he was able to take the kids to the park. I was quite nervous for these conferences and was grateful that I didn't have to do them alone but that I had Lindy there too! They actually all went quite well though. I didn't have any angry parents so that was good!

We went to 5 Guys for dinner on Friday and Logan kept forgetting what it was called and called it "5 people." We're just raising him to be politically correct:)

Kylie knows what most parts of her face are and can point to them when you ask her but for some reason she points to her nose instead of her eyes. She says "Eye, eye" as she points to her nose. And then she laughs! I'm not sure if she is doing it to tease us or if she really thinks that is where her eye is!

For Thanksgiving, we went to Tooele this year. We left Wednesday afternoon and ended up driving through a bad snow storm, so that was stressful. But once we got there, we had good food, played lots of games, and just had fun with family.

We had to leave Friday morning because Nate and Logan went to the Jazz game that evening. It was Logan's first Jazz game and it got kind of long for him in the end, but he had fun and still talks about it sometimes. They got cotton candy too to help pass the time.

We also decorated for Christmas on Friday and Saturday. We put up Christmas lights on our roof for the first time this year and one strand went out about an hour after we put them up so that was frustrating. We ended up just leaving them up there and took them down at the end of the season and threw them away. I guess I need to go for the name brand lights!
