Early December Fun!

The Christmas season has arrived! It is the only way to make cold weather bearable!

We started it off (besides decorating the outside with lights) by going to Grandma and Grandpa Summers' house to decorate gingerbread (graham cracker) houses. It is a tradition to do this at some point during the season and it just happened early this year. Logan was able to do most of it himself this year and just needed a little help here and there from Grandma. Kylie needed a lot of help from me to do hers:)

We decorated our Christmas tree and put our love seat in the basement to stay (until we decide it's time to move into a bigger house). I just have to have the tree by the window in our living room. I don't want the tree in the basement! So we had been looking into some couches made by Lovesac that come apart so they are easy to move and easy to clean. You just take off the covers and throw them in the wash. They are very expensive though! But we decided it was worth it and bought enough pieces to make a chair. It's a big chair though and can fit 2 people comfortably. Now it will be the piece of furniture we move up and down during the Christmas season and it actually fits better in our small living room than the love seat did.

We still have our small tree, but our space is small so I want to keep it that way!
Logan and Kylie decided they needed to dress up to decorate the tree I guess! Logan in his fireman dress up and Kylie in the doctor one.

We decided to do the self timer so we could get a family picture

The new couch. We also got a new TV (a smart TV) during the Black Friday sales. We got it hoping it would fit in our space above the fireplace in the living room but it was too big so it is in the basement. We now have two TVs since we will be getting Logan a Wii - U for Christmas (shhh!). The kids are enjoying the new TV while chillin on the new couch. Logan must be like me and gets cold easy. He keeps his coat on a lot during the winter and always wants a blanket on when watching TV.

We also went to Boondocks as a fun family activity. Logan loves the arcade games. Kylie threw many temper tantrums. But she did enjoy a duck game where you punch moving ducks to knock them down by pushing a button. She also liked the little merry-go-round.

We went to the Summers' Family Christmas Party (the big one with Nate's aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) in Provo. I really think the venue they hold it at is getting too small for the family, but it was good food and good to talk to some family.
