We went to Temple Square with Nate's family to see the lights. First, we ate at City Creek Food court, then we went on over. It was a really cold night so we stopped in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for a little bit to warm up. The lights are always beautiful and I love seeing the big nativity and the littler nativities representing other countries. It is a great reminder of what Christmas is all about. It appears I didn't get any pictures! Lame. I guess it was too cold!
We went to Sienna's 1st birthday party! Tiffany and her family are living in Midway right now with David's parents while David goes to helicopter pilot school. It's a cute little town but way out of the way. Tiffany did a great job with the party, as usual. Cute decorations and she had a fun game where there were pictures of Sienna from every month of the first year of her life and we had to guess how the order went. Unfortunately, I didn't do very well. Sienna is such a happy girl and so social. She will go to anyone and sit on their lap.
Also, on our drive up to Midway, my back started hurting and it steadily got worse the longer we were there. I don't know if it was the altitude or what but I didn't move from the couch much. I continued to have problems with it for the next few days. Icy hot and warm rice packs helped, but the pain was still there. So much so that I had to sit sometimes while I was teaching and the house was getting neglected. I finally decided I needed to see a chiropractor and get some help to put my house back on track so I found a chiropractor who had good reviews online and I asked my parents to stay with us. They ended up staying for 3 days, so that was really helpful. And after even one treatment at the chiropractor, I was feeling a bit better. I continued going once or twice a week for probably about a month (mostly during the Christmas break) and I was back to normal. I do think it happened because I haven't been as consistent with yoga because of being so busy with school.
Anyway, I didn't get any pictures, so that was lame. This is just more of a journal entry, I guess.
