First week of December

We did our annual Layton City Lights on Monday Dec 5th (which also happens to be the anniversary of our first date). We met the Gees, Cederlofs, and Grandma and Grandpa at Burger King then went to Layton City Park. They always have fun lights that are shaped as animals and some of them look like they are moving (like a bear trying to catch a fish, monkey climbing a tree, etc). It must've been a really cold night this time because we only got one picture (of Anna and Logan) and Nate took it. I didn't take any. Kylie just stayed bundled up in the stroller.

The church is doing a fun initiative called "Light the World." Basically it is like a service advent calendar. So we are trying our best this Christmas season to follow it and do some service. One of the days was to visit someone elderly. We had already recently visited Nate's grandma, so I decided to visit one of our widow neighbors instead. To make it less awkward, we brought over a plate of cookies. Just Logan and I went because Nate was sick that day. It was a good visit and I think she really enjoyed having us (especially Logan) over.
Logan and I played in the snow (see our little snowman back there? I am terrible at making snowmen). We had to do it when Kylie was asleep. She doesn't seem to like the snow this year.

On Saturday, Santa came to Bowmans Grocery Store. So we took the kids. We had Logan go first, hoping Kylie would see that Santa wasn't scary since Logan wasn't scared. Logan did great and told Santa that he wanted a Wii-U. Santa looked at us to make sure that wasn't a surprise! Ha ha! And Kylie screamed her head off. Poor Santa didn't want to keep her on his lap long! Her cry is so loud! I do have some better pictures that a photographer took at Bowmans but I haven't scanned them in yet, hopefully I will get to that this week.

That same day, Nate and I did sealings at the new Provo City Center Temple for my mom's birthday. It was nice to have almost the whole family there doing sealings. And I even had a couple of names to be done which was my first time bringing names to a sealing. I just enjoy being together as a family since that is what that ordinance (the highest of all ordinances) is all about. After that, we ate at Brick Oven. Cosmo (the BYU mascot) happened to be there and stopped by our table. We told him it was my mom's birthday so she got a picture with him. It was a fun evening!
