After Christmas and New Year's!

After Christmas, we went to the Stout family Christmas party at Doralyn's Barn. My parents were actually in charge of it this year  but they figured they wouldn't get a very good turn out if they did it in Tooele, so they had it at my Aunt Doralyn's, which is traditional. Their barn is way fun for the kids since they have a huge slide, a ball pit, a mechanical horse, and blow up slide, and just space to play basketball or whatever. Logan had a blast! Nate and I even each took a turn on the huge slide but I regretted it because I had on new boots and it scuffed up the back of my boots. It also scuffed up Nate's shoes. My mom decided to do Minute to Win It games and each of us kids had to come up with a game. I did the snow shovel, where they were blind folded, and had to use a spoon to scoop up cotton balls and put them in a bowl. Whoever had the most after a minute, won! The Davis' did an oreo one where you had to slide the oreo from your forehead into your mouth without touching it with your hands. That one was pretty hilarious! We had to leave after that to get the kids to bed so we didn't see the other games.

For New Year's Eve, we went to the Summers. We haven't been there for a couple of years, so it was time to spend it with Nate's family. We played games, watched a movie, and ate snacks. We put Kylie to bed there and I was planning on putting Logan to bed at some time (we turned on a movie for the kids), but he just didn't fall asleep. So Logan stayed up for his first time past midnight. We went home very soon after the ball drop.

New Year's Day was a Sunday, so it was pretty normal, but Nate had Monday off so we went to Boondocks to go bowling. We even let Kylie roll a ball down once in awhile this time, but she wasn't too into it. Nate and I mostly just took turns holding her while the other one went. Logan had a lot fun though!

I just have to say something about this winter! It pretty much snowed every day since Christmas! Not a lot each day, but it certainly didn't have a chance to melt and it was getting crazy with how high the snow mounds were! And it just continued like this the whole winter! Here is a picture to put it into perspective. This was at Nate's parents' house in Fruit Heights which had more than us, but we still had a lot!

 These 2 were taken January 3rd. Logan played outside in the snow. Kylie wasn't a fan of the snow this winter. Maybe next year.
