End of School Events

Close to the end of the year, Logan had his Kindergarten graduation program. It happened to be at a time when my class was at prep so I was able to sneak out and go to it. They were cute little singers! Also, Logan's class has had a volunteer who sings opera coming every so often during the year where they have made up and practiced an opera! They made up the words and painted the backdrop and everything! It wasn't too bad either! They were very proud of their work. Unfortunately, some of the recordings got deleted because Nate thought that they were automatically updating to Google photos, but there wasn't an internet connection, so they didn't and he deleted some from his phone so he would have room for the next songs. Oh well.

Logan getting his "diploma". Unfortunately, it's a really bad picture!
With his teacher, Mrs. Pop. He was a "kid" in the opera so he told me he needed to wear a hat.
He's not in Kindergarten anymore!

We had some fun end-of-year events in 2nd grade. They went to the Splash Pad with Michelle Berg, then to Classic Fun with me, and Field Day was in the morning so that was with me. I ended the year feeling pretty good about how I have improved with my teaching and classroom management. We had some tough kids, but I felt like I did just as good as Michelle did, if not better with some kids, with my classroom management. However, next year will likely feel like a first year again since it will be a new grade. And instead of only teaching Language Arts and teaching mornings, I will be doing all day Monday and Tuesday so I will have to teach everything! I am nervous about teaching Math, but I'm trying not to think too much about it yet.

A cute note from one of my students.
Some pictures from home from this time:

Ethan attempting to eat with a spoon. He will NOT let anyone try to feed him. He is also very picky. That is why cereal seems to be the best choice of foods for him right now.

Not sure what this is about, but she's cute!
