Spring Break! San Diego Day 1!

We left on our trip on Sunday. It took us 14.5 hours with two hours of traffic jams from Vegas to California (apparently that is the norm since the Californians often travel to Vegas for the weekend). We ate lunch in Washington, UT at a nice little park and stopped at Carl's Jr. somewhere in CA. We got to the house we were staying in around 9 pm. It was our first time using an AirBnB and it was great. It was a two bedroom home in a little San Diego neighborhood. It was a nice area and good for going everywhere we wanted all week. It was just as cheap as cramming everyone into a hotel.

Monday, our first day in San Diego, we went to Lego Land. This was one of the main reasons why we went to San Diego. Logan had wanted to go to Lego Land for a really long time.

The first ride they did of the day was a car ride. They had 2 different ones for different ages. I stayed with Kylie while she went around just a simple oval. Nate stayed with Logan while he did one that had intersections and kids to avoid crashing into. He did a great job! They both got a pretend license.

Logan rode his first roller coaster (and loved it!) and Ethan rode his first first merry-go-round (he was very frightened and hung onto me the whole time!. Logan could pretty much ride anything and there were a lot of things Ethan couldn't ride which made things a bit difficult (sometimes we had to take turns, sometimes one of us just wouldn't ride a ride), but we worked it out and had a lot of fun!

Kylie was sitting next to me. You just can't see her! I don't like spinney rides but I did it for my kids!

Logan and Kylie built Lego cars, then raced them down. They got some ribbons. I think Logan's did well, but I can't remember for sure.

We were able to squirt other people on the ride.

Logan wants to be a Fireman, so they did this one. It didn't work too well with only one adult and one child trying to move it though.

A boat ride

A Submarine ride. Ethan could actually go on this one with us! It was fun to go on a ride all together! You searched for Lego things in the water (like the clam to the left, made out of Legos).

These were so fun! They had cities made of Legos from all over the world! I loved them all! But I only took pictures of a few of them. Some of them had movie people! So cute!

Despite those looks, they are happy to be there! Lego Friends!

Kylie loved this one!

Kylie kept telling us that she really wanted to ride the horses. So we found this ride! We later discovered that she meant the Merry-Go-Round! So we had to squeeze that ride in right before it closed! It closed earlier than we expected. I guess they were still on Winter hours. But we probably would've left soon after anyway since our kids are young and were ready to eat and go to bed.

It was so fun! We all want to go back. But Disneyland might be better!
