Choo Choo!

On the Saturday before Martin Luther King Day, we decided to splurge a bit and actually do something fun around here besides the cheap theater to celebrate Martin Luther King as well as an early birthday for Nate! We headed up to Akron and took a scenic train through Cuyahoga National Park. It runs mostly by the river. It almost went all the way up to Cleveland! We could've gotten off at some spots to do some shopping (or in our case window shopping), but we decided it was too cold for that so we stayed on the train the whole time and listened to the audio tour and enjoyed the white beauty around us. And of course the excitement of being on a train, especially since it was the B&O Railroad like on Monopoly! (Baltimore and Ohio) It also made me feel like I was on my mission again! We enjoyed a couple of overpriced sandwiches. They were good, but if we were ever to do this again, we would definitely pack a lunch. It certainly was a nice, relaxing way to spend our holiday! We had a blast!

The little town where we could've gotten out to go shopping

Not a good picture with the water droplets, but it's a little park by one of the stops
