Cedar Point!

Just look at the crazy mess of Roller Coasters. And that's only looking one way! Picture from a random blog.
Cedar Point is seriously an amazing amusement park. It is located on an island on Lake Erie in Sandusky, OH. There were so many roller coasters, we didn't even have time to ride on all of them! We got there just before they opened the rides, left the park for an hour or less for lunch, then stayed until about 8 so we wouldn't starve, and there were still some coasters that we didn't get to. We'll just have to go back another day! I don't have any pictures from it because something very sad happened. I had just gotten a new phone a couple weeks before that could take pretty decent pictures so I decided that instead of worrying about a camera, I would just take pictures on my cell phone. I had it in my pocket, then after a couple of rides, I felt in my pocket, and it wasn't there! I felt sick and we went back to the ride I had just been on and asked the guy if anyone had seen a phone. Nope. We called it, no answer. We checked the lost and found, nope. I felt pretty awful, but Nate is awesome and can always make me feel better. So we still had a few hours at the park to keep riding rides, and we decided we would check before we left.
Top Thrill Dragster. It's much higher than it looks! 420 Feet high! Picture form Cedar Point website

This place has a coaster for everyone and most of them are a lot longer than your normal rides so it's actually worth the wait. The funny thing was how different Nate and I are when it comes to rides. I love the really high drops and lots of ups and downs, Nate loves the twists, turns, and spinning rides. And in Ceder Point, there are a lot of really high coasters, but Nate was a trooper and went on all of them with me except one. The Topthrill Dragster. It's a ride that shoots you up really fast and really high, spin a little, then head back down. This was the one Nate just couldn't do so I had to stand in line by myself with guys behind me checking me out and commenting on all the girls they saw (I didn't dare look at them!). But the wait was worth it because it was definitely my favorite ride! And to show my appreciation for Nate going on rides that scared him, I went on a ride with him that was like the scrambler, very spinney (if that's a word).

Anyway, the park was amazing, but the phone problem was always lingering in the back of my mind. We checked the lost and found right before we left, and it still wasn't there. And now when we called it, it went straight to voicemail. I filled out a paper so that if they found it, they would call me. But I knew it was gone. Oh well. I just had to go back to my old phone. But despite the bad luck with that, Cedar Point was amazing and we will definitely be going back again!

  1. Just for the record, most of the rides didn't scare me. I just don't like roller coasters and rides that are just big drops. I don't like that feeling. I did enjoy most of the rides though. I just got sick every time I looked at Top Thrill Dragster so I just watched with the other people who didn't want to go on it either in the bleachers.

  3. I LOVED Cedar Point! Pete and I had a great time. Pete begged me to go on the Top Thrill Dragster and I did, but I will say that I closed my eyes for most of the ride! It was a bit much for me, but Pete loved it! So glad you guys got to go!
