2nd Baby Shower!

So the next week on Thurs the 10th, a couple of women from my work threw me a shower that was shared with another coworker whose wife is pregnant and due just a couple of weeks after me. Shauna Goode was the main planner. It was also a really busy time for her, but she really wanted to do it and she's just a really nice woman and it turned out great.

It took place during our lunch break, so basically we just ate food and chatted. And everyone pitched in a bit of money toward a diaper cake that Lori Bushong put together. She makes the most amazing diaper cakes you have ever seen. She includes a lot more in it than just diapers. It basically had all the things you need for the hygiene of your baby and it had onesies and blankets. The coolest thing it had is a thermometer that is a binkie. So the baby just needs to suck on that for a bit and we'll see if he has a fever or not.

There was also a lady, Patrice Bechtol, who made a frog pillow and gave us a frog stuffed animal. She was really excited about giving me this. She talked about it (without telling me what it was) weeks before the shower. She's so funny.

I did bring my camera to take pictures, but a coworker was taking pictures and said she would send them to me so I didn't take any. Well, she hasn't sent any. Oh well. At least we got one of the diaper cake when we got home.

The very next week was my last week of work, so it was good timing. I was really excited to quit work, even though I love my coworkers. I had a lot of moms there:) And it was certainly time to quit since I was missing 1 or 2 days a week due to my nosebleeds. And it certainly wasn't my dream job, selling Time Warner Cable to businesses, but it was a job. It's crazy to think I am officially done with working and am now focusing on becoming a housewife and mom. I'm really excited for that part of my life. Especially the mom part!
