My First Baby Shower!

I don't think I realized it at the time, but my shower was on Cinco di Mayo! The Primary president of my ward was the one who threw it for me, Melissa Fry is her name. And it was such a busy time for her, it was really nice of her to do it for me! We work together pretty closely in church in the primary since I am the primary chorister so we've become friends.

She had some fun games (naming baby animals and a candy matching game) and of course great brunch food because she is an amazing baker and cook. (I didn't take a picture of the food, but I should have.)

Many women from the ward were able to come and some that couldn't, gave me a gift later. Logan certainly got spoiled, especially with clothes and blankets. One woman crocheted a beautiful blue and pink blanket (because she had to start it before she knew what we were having!) and another tied a little quilt. The most unique thing we got was a growth chart. It is made out of cloth and you can hang it on the wall. But that way, no matter where we move, we can take our chart with us instead of leaving it on the wall. It's really cute.

But everyone was very nice and generous and we got some great stuff.
