Well Logan turned 17 months old on Nov. 15th. He is quite the character!
New words (if I can remember them all): ear (and he can point to it), belly button "bubba," what an elephant says, owl says "hoo hoo", mouse says "squea squea", down (like if he wants to get down when I'm holding him), choo choo, and ball. I think that's all. I might add more later. He really likes to carry on a conversation, especially if I'm in another room and start talking to Nate, then he thinks he needs to yell and join in! I can't understand anything, but it seems like he really thinks he's talking!

Logan really likes to unzip his pajamas. We often find him showing off his manly chest when we get him in the morning! He is also trying to take off his own clothes or put them on. Luckily, he's not too successful in trying to take them off. He will sometimes help me soap him up in the bathtub. He rubs his belly with the soap from my hands. He also will help me lotion his legs.

He seems to be getting into that phase where he loves to help, so I let him whenever it is something he can do. He will put his diaper in the bin after he gets changed, he likes to throw trash away, pick things up off the floor and give them to me, and other simple tasks. Sometimes he's a little too helpful, but it's fun!

| He often sits on the vanity while we get ready and plays with anything and everything. Here he is trying to put on chapstick, only it looks like he's eating it! |
Logan is getting even better with his puzzle. He can do most of it all by himself! He is also more into playing with his toy cars. He likes it best when he runs it on my body or his! He thinks it's hysterical!
Funny story: Nate was watching a BYU football game and we suddenly noticed that Logan was acting really mad and hitting his arm on the couch and such things and then I realized he was copying Nate! It was hilarious! I tried to get a video of it, but he didn't really do it after I turned it on.

Logan really likes to dip things now. We went out to Wendy's for our weekly date night and Logan started dipping his apples in ketchup! Pretty gross! But he seemed to like it.

Maybe I should say a bit about our Fall schedule. We wake up around 7-7:30, watch some cartoons and eat breakfast (Logan takes a bit to wake up, so TV is a nice way to gradually get him used it). Tuesdays I volunteer at the nearest elementary in the morning and teach piano in the afternoon, Thursday mornings is playgroup with people from the ward, and sometimes on Wednesday afternoons I take Logan to The Playground which is an indoor play place at the First Christian Church. It is really nice and huge! It's perfect for these cold days. His naps usually are from about 12:30 to around 2 or 3, depending on how long it takes him to fall asleep. And he's in bed by 7. In between, I try to get creative with our play, or I get lazy and let him watch TV, which he is constantly asking for! My baby is turning into a couch potato! Sometimes we babysit a boy from our ward or get together with Angelique and her son.

Getting creative: I cut a slit in the Chex box and he put quarters in the slit. This kept him occupied for a good 20 min and a good portion of time for a couple of days after!
We still love our little monkey! And we are so excited for him to get to know his grandparents, cousins, and aunts and uncles in Utah!
Yup! We are so excited for you guys to come back out here!!
