Christmas Cookie Party

So this actually happened about a week before we moved, but I forgot to post about it. My friend Angelique put on a Christmas Cookie Decorating party and invited me and 2 other ladies from the ward with our kids. She went all out with lunch and baked a ton of sugar cookies and all the trimmings for decorating. She even had little party hats and little aprons for the kids. It was way cute! Logan just didn't get the whole decorating thing. He took a bite out of a sugar cookie before I could show him what to do. He never caught on so I just frosted a few cookies and tried to get him to eat a frosted one, but he didn't care to try. Probably because it was messy. He's really funny about getting stuff on his hands. So he ended up just getting down to play. At least the older kids seemed to really like it. There were 2 that were younger than Logan that we didn't even have places set up for them, which was probably a good idea. Anyway, it was a fun party to enjoy and a great break from the craziness of packing.

The week after, Sarah Stevens (pictured above), threw a going away party for Logan and me. It was in the morning so not very many people could come, but it was fun to chat with the ladies that had become our family away from family. I really did enjoy our ward there. We made some good friends.
