April Happenings

General Conference was the first week of April. I wanted to do something to keep Logan more entertained so I searched the web. All of the GC packets were too old for Logan or they were just coloring pages (and Logan isn't great at coloring). So I made a poster with the general authorities on it, a pulpit, and velcro so he could switch the speakers whenever a new speaker came on. It turned out he didn't play with it much, but the Gees came over and Summer really enjoyed it. I guess he was too young. Maybe next time he'll be more into it. I always really enjoy GC and this one was no different. I especially loved the clarification on the priesthood. With all that is going on with Ordain Women, it really helped clarify some things I have always wondered. If I get around to it, I might post some of my thoughts on that.

Other than that, Nate spent a lot of time job hunting, I was still subbing about twice a week, and Logan played. Logan's cousin Jillian came over a lot to get babysat when both of her parents were at work so they played together a lot. They have kind of a brother/sister relationship. They can either be really nice and play well together, or they can get really annoyed with each other. Mostly, it's Jillian that gets annoyed with Logan, but he often tries to push her buttons. He also just really likes to do whatever she does and sometimes she just wants to play by herself. Also something we've really enjoyed about living here is that almost every Sunday we get to see the Gees and the Cederlofs. Because of that, Logan has really gotten to know his cousins, which is so fun!

And the best news ever we got in April: Nate passed the Bar!
A couple of things I missed in March (I think):

Annalisa had her 1 year old birthday. Logan insisted on helping her unwrap her presents.
We went to Scheels with the Summers clan. Logan wanted to be held by Grandma most of the time and cried whenever Nate or I tried to get him. But he loved the fishies and playing in the enclosed playground.

  1. Summer loved your GC chart. I am guessing in the next year or two Logan will have a lot of fun with it!
