Our nephew Tyler Garrison was here from Oregon so he and Nate went to Jazz game on January 16th. We ate at Burger King with them in Layton, then they took Frontrunner so they didn't have to worry about parking. They are both avid sports fans so I'm sure they had a blast.
We went to the Provo City Center Temple Open House on Martin Luther King, Jr Day with Nate's side of the family. Debbie was able to get us all tickets somehow. So Grandma and Grandpa Summers were there along with the Gees and Tyler. The Cederlofs couldn't come because Annika got sick. It was interesting going through the building knowing I had been to multiple stake conferences there while going to BYU and that I had sung there a few times. A fire had burnt the inside really badly after I graduated, and they gutted it out and fixed the outside and made it into a temple. I loved how the design was old fashioned and even the hinges on the doors were beautiful. They kept at least one of the spiral staircases. After we toured, we went to Pizza Pie Cafe in American Fork. It was a cold day, but it was fun!
We celebrated Nate's birthday a day early because he had pack meeting on his birthday. We went to the Kyoto for lunch, which is an authentic Japanese restaurant. We then watched the newest Star Wars movie, Episode VII. I really liked it. It was fun to see the old actors all grown up and to see them interacting again.
So yeah, on his actual birthday he had to work and do Pack meeting but we also did cake that evening. I don't think I took any pictures.
That weekend we went to Caiden's first birthday party. It was monster themed and we were a little worried about how Logan would react because he has been afraid of monsters in his room and has been struggling with sleep because of it. We tried all sorts of things, but he doesn't sleep through the night anymore. And he has to go to bed with the light on. But he did well at the party. It didn't help his fear or hurt it. He made this monster. He's pretty happy
