So a few days at the beginning of the month, I watched Missy's kids while they went to Hawaii. So we had two babies (both still crawling, thankfully), a 3 year old and a 4 year old (who don't always get along), and a 6 year old, 10 year old, and 12 year old. The older girls were a big help, but poor baby Caden got sick. He threw up in his bed twice and was wanting to be held a lot, which is understandable. But Kylie was getting jealous so it was difficult. Caden was also cutting his molars. I was able to drop off the preschooler boys at one of Missy's friends house for a couple of hours on 2 of the days, but apparently they would fight a lot. Caden and Kylie slept a lot, but it was just insane when everyone was home and I was trying to do dinner. And the last day was really hard with the babies. They were just ready to have their mommies. And I was almost in tears while holding two babies in my lap. I mean, I always knew it would be hard to have twins, but now I have basically experience it! But I'm glad Missy and Shawn were able to have a fun time in Hawaii. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures.
To celebrate Valentine's Day, Steve and Nancy watched the kids (and put them to bed at their house) while we went to Salt Lake to eat at Market Street Grill. Nate got a gift card from his work for Christmas. It's an upscale place and even a $50 gift card didn't completely cover the cost. It was good though. We walked around Salt Lake a bit too. Went over to City Creek. It's just always nice to get some time out to ourselves.
We made this in January, but I didn't take a picture until I was about to throw it away
Logan being silly
That night, Nate got really sick with the stomach flu so he stayed home from work the next day. Then the next day was the Blue and Gold Banquet. So I was busy doing a lot to prepare for that since he was getting over being sick. But he still had a lot to do. During Blue and Gold he still wasn't normal but he was doing better. He just didn't eat much and had to pretend to be energetic. I also had a part as a story teller. Then that night, I started feeling sick. We all took turns with this sickness. It wasn't too fun.
Yup! You were quite the super mom! I'm so sorry it was so hard. I stressed about it a lot and am still mad we didn't drive through the night to get home earlier. Grrrr....
