Kylie turned one year old on March 9th.
Her stats:
18 lbs 4 oz - 25th
29 inches long - close to 50th
It's crazy that her first year has already past. And I'm finally feeling like a normal person. It has really been a rough recovery for me and it makes me really nervous to do that again. But back to Kylie. She is still a cutie and still gets comments on her beauty. She is high drama and doesn't easily forgive or forget. She is a screamer, both when happy and mad. So that's her bad side. She waves and says "hi" to people, to anyone and makes everyone smile. She also waves "bye" and waves when going night night. She still likes to play peek-a-boo and her favorite toys are balls and cars. She is scared of real animals and just screams and shakes when she is around them. She does like stuffed animals. Kylie prefers mommy over anyone else but she does like daddy and Logan. Logan likes that she can sometimes play with him now. She has some major stranger anxiety and has 3 teeth. She still just a crawler. She can pull herself up to standing, but she doesn't do it very often.
On her actual birthday, we went out to Arctic Circle with Nate's parents (because they wouldn't be able to go to her party on Saturday since they work at the LDS Conference Center then). The kids enjoyed playing on the playground for a bit after they ate. Then we came back to our house and ate cupcakes and opened a couple of presents. So this was Kylie's first cake smash. I thought she would get really into it because she loves to eat. But she mostly just picked at it.
We gave her the dinosaur. It "eats" food. She really likes it.
The cute doll Grandma and Grandpa Summers gave her. I missed getting a picture of her hugging it really cute. They also gave her a pretty dress.

Then we played a game downstairs. It was like Fruit Basket Upset but with Disney characters. The younger ones lost interest pretty fast, but the older kids liked it. Then we ate dinner. I did chicken salad or egg salad sandwiches with some side salads. Then we did presents. Tiffany gave Kylie a bag of doll stuff (like pretend food, baby powder, bottle, etc). Kylie really likes to take the things out and put them back in. It's one of her favorite toys. My parents gave her cute outfit and a moving mouse. The kids really love the mouse. It keeps them entertained while I make dinner. We gave her some snacks (since she loves to eat), pjs, and a forehead thermometer.
After presents, we did cupcakes and ice cream again. She didn't do much better with the cake smash. I did an actual cake with her this time instead of just a cupcake.
