Kylie's Birthday!

We didn't do anything on her actual birthday because daddy had round table for cub scouts (and work during the day). But on Friday (the next day), we went to Pizza Pie Cafe because she really likes pizza. Saturday was her party. We invited all the Utah family from both sides but the Hancock's couldn't come because they needed to go to Shawn's dad's funeral. So that was a sad week for them. The party was Owl themed. We started with the kids doing a craft by making owls out of toilet paper rolls. I made chicken tetrazzinni for lunch and it was a hit.
Kylie's is the purple Picasso one

The cute cupcakes

Then she opened her presents. She got a coloring book, 3 babies (dolls) which she absolutely loved! She also got a Minnie Mouse wagon, a Barbie with horse, and an owl chair. Her family knows her well!

I love how she won't let go of her babies.
After that, we did cake and ice cream and she was able to blow out her 2 candles on her cupcake without any prompting. She sees a lot of birthdays with so many older cousins so she must be catching on.

Kylie at 2:
She is still dramatic, and still cries very loudly. She doesn't faint as often when she cries too hard, but it is still a worry. She takes teasing pretty well and can dish it out sometimes too. Logan and Kylie can play really well together, but they can also drive each other crazy. When someone says "me" or "I", she repeats it and it drives Logan crazy. He says, "Not you! Me!" And she says, "Me?" And the cycle repeats itself.
She can talk pretty well. These are some phrases she often says:
- me too
- my turn
- no bath
- no bed
- for a drink of water, she says "baa waa" or "light" for a drink of Crystal Light
- "Nigh nigh" when she lays her babies down. Cute thing about that: When she plays with her babies, she will put one in the swing and one in the stroller and will push the one in the stroller around, but she will stop sometimes to go push the swing. So she stays busy keeping her babies happy. When they are "crying", she will pat them on the back and bounce them. It is just darling to watch!
- she says "scriptures" in an interesting way. Not sure how to write it down.

She likes:
- Babies
- Barbies
- shoes
- playing with the pretend kitchen
- pushing things
- copying Logan
- Logan copying her
- dressing up
