The Rest of March

On Saturday the 17th, Nate and I did One-on-Ones with our kids (we try to do this monthly). I went with Kylie to the mall to eat giant pretzels and play at the indoor playground, then Nate took Logan to play Laser tag. Unfortunately, Kylie didn't seem to like the pretzels. I think it was too mess with the butter melting everywhere off of it. And Logan didn't like Laser tag as much as he thought. He had been dying to do this and had just been waiting until he was tall enough! So he had built up this really cool thing in his mind, but I think it scared him that it was so dark and so easy to get lost.

The next week, we all got sick with a bad cold. Despite that, we still went to the Jordan River Temple Open House on Wednesday. Since Nate only works half days on Wednesday, he just took the rest of that day off. It was beautiful and peaceful, as always. I tried to explain to the kids what each of the rooms were, so hopefully it was a good experience for them too. It was a really windy, cold day, so Ethan did not like it when we were outside. Took his breath away!

Saturday the 24th was a busy day. We started out by dying Easter Eggs, since Easter is coming right up! Nate mostly just held Ethan while the other two dyed away. We ended up with a few cracked eggs (as always) but they had tons of fun!

That morning, Ethan started to learn to sit up!

Later that morning, we went on a "hike" at the Great Salt Lake Wildlife Preserve. There is a big circle of  boardwalk since it is really marshy ground, so we were able to just put Ethan in the stroller. There are a lot of birds there so it was fun to point them out to the kids. Unfortunately, it was really windy and the wind was really bothering my ears, so I was glad when we reached the end.

That night, Amy Gee (Karl's niece) came to our house to do a Cutco presentation. She is new at it and needed some practice. She did a good job, but boy was she slow! And Kylie had woken up from her nap not feeling well and she told us that her ear hurt, so we made an appointment to take her in to Wee care. Well, the appointment time came and Amy was still here so Nate had to take her. Turned out, she had an ear infection (which I wonder if the wind started it!). Amy was still here even after they had left, gotten the medicine and come back! It was a least a 2 hour presentation! So the kids got to bed late, I did end up ordering some shears because I have been wanting some (and I called it my Mother's Day present), and Sunday I stayed home with Ethan and Kylie so she could get some rest and get feeling better.

The rest is just random pictures from March:

A day at the Park. We must have finally gotten a warm day!

She has a bunch of: "Take my picture, Mommy" pictures this month.

Typical Kylie- arms full of babies and/or stuffed animals

The kids covered Ethan with toys again. He doesn't seem to mind too much anymore.
