Some May Happenings

May is one of the craziest months! I imagine it will only get crazier as our kids get older! Logan has Tee ball Tuesdays and Thursdays and Soccer on Saturdays. I have mutual on Wednesdays and the stress of end-of-year testing, grades, and cleaning up the classroom (I got the surprise announcement that I won't be looking for someone else to take Michelle Berg's spot but will instead move up to 4th grade to teach with Nicole Carter).

As for Tee Ball, I wonder sometimes if Logan has too much fun with it. When in the outfield, he dives for the ball and tackles his teammates in order to get it. And on the sidelines, they goof off and throw grass on each other. I am wondering if we should just stick with soccer but he wants to do it again so we will see how next year goes. He does fine with hitting the ball, he just gets silly.

Cute fuzzy head at Logan's game. He absolutely loves playing in the grass!
For Mother's Day, we went to the Summers' and the men made the dinner. Nate did the desert. He also did all the diaper changes, etc. And I love that Logan is in Primary now and can sing for me! It's so cute! It will be fun when Kylie will be in Sunbeams next year. In church, the Young Woman took over the Primary so that all the women could go to Relief Society. They had a lesson, then ended a little early so we could have a light brunch. For my gift, my family got me a card and inside it had homemade coupons for things like massages and time without the kids. I also got myself Cutco scissors (from Karl's niece) and a liquid measuring cup. I know, it's crazy that I haven't had a normal liquid measuring cup until now! It was good, relaxing day.

Tuesday the 15th was the Anniversary of our Engagement. Nate is good about remembering stuff like that. I got us some yummy Fiiz drinks after putting the kids to bed. Then we watched The Phantom of the Opera, since that is the movie we watched on our engagement night, but back then, we were in the middle of a roundabout.

Saturday the 19th was Logan's last soccer game. One thing we can check off! We celebrated by going to Wendy's for Frosties. My favorite thing about Logan in soccer is his stamina. He always wants to play and never wants to sit out. He keeps trying and running as hard as he can!

I was still sleeping on the couch at night because of my back, so they did an MRI. Turns out, it's the same thing as it was before, arthritis. I got everything going though to start doing Physical Therapy.

We bought a nice, big family tent and decided to set it up in our backyard, just to make sure we knew how to do it. It took up our whole backyard! (Which, really isn't that big:) We are hoping to start camping as a family soon. Once Ethan becomes a better sleeper.

We have finally figured out something that Ethan will eat! Captain Crunch! He is such a picky eater!

Ethan is really good about just sitting and playing with his toys. We can also put him downstairs with Kylie or Logan and they will actually all stay down there and play! As long as someone is down there, they are good:)

Kylie and Logan had an art show. They used different textures (notice the bubble wrap). They can be so creative!

Grandma Summers will often do fun crafts with them (because Logan asks to do them)

Logan and Kylie doing a puppet show.
