Labor Day Weekend Fun!

The Friday before Labor Day, Logan and Nate went to a Bees baseball game for a one-on-one. Games are still a bit long for Logan so they bought ice cream in baseball helmets. Logan kept the helmets and uses them on his nightstand to hold stuff. There were also fireworks at the end of the game. They were home late, but they had fun!

Saturday, there wasn't a soccer game, so we went up to Ogden and "hiked" around Beus Pond. We enjoyed looking at the ducks, birds, and a turtle. It was quite pretty. Right next to is was a park, so we ate our lunch there and the kids played on the playground for a bit.

That night, Nate and I actually went on a date that wasn't for a birthday or our anniversary! ha ha! We hired a babysitter (Maddi Rogers from our ward). She has watched them before and seems to keep things under control really well. We went to the movie Christopher Robin and ate at Red Robin. It was nice to spend some time out of the house with just the two of us.

On Labor Day, we had the usual Barbecue at Nate's parents' house. And with that, the end of summer. I don't enjoy the cold weather, but I do enjoy the fall and winter holidays.

During this time, Logan got a bad cold that when he talked, he would cough. So he actually stopped talking! He would whisper sometimes, but it was so weird! It lasted for a week! I think he got to the point where he was afraid of talking. I never thought that I would miss his loudness, but it was so not like him, that it really bothered me. We were finally able to convince him to talk and we finally got our energetic Logan back.
