On Thursday the kids painted the little pumpkins that we bought at Pack Farms. We did it outside on the cement because I was thinking it would be easier to clean up (and it was a nice day). Well, Kylie definitely stained the cement with her paint. I'm hoping that weather will eventually wear it away. They had tons of fun though! I think this was the first time Logan painted something real instead of just colors everywhere. So Kylie tried to follow by making a face on side and then mixing colors all over on the other.

For the vacation part of Fall Break, Nate took Friday off and we went up to Honeyville to check out Crystal Hot Springs. Supposedly it has the highest mineral content of any hot spring in the world. People go there to soak in it and it helps with their maladies. I was hoping for it to heal up my back! It's a whole lot better than it was, but it would be nice to be able to sleep normally. It didn't work. Bummer. There were quite a few people meditating under the waterfall. It didn't look relaxing to me, but to each his own. It was an enjoyable trip even though it was very crowded. The water was nice and warm despite the weather being a bit chilly. We brought a blow up baby tube thing for Ethan and he was loving it! You could try the slide for free one time, so I tried it out. It was really fun! Unfortunately, the kids were too little for it. We ended the trip with Kylie being stung by a bee or wasp (they were everywhere!). And I didn't know that it had happened and Kylie was crying about her foot hurting and so she couldn't walk and I thought she was just being dramatic so I was getting frustrated with her. When we were changing, I finally checked out her foot and saw the obvious marking of a sting so then I felt bad. I took her to the front desk to see if they had some sort of first aid there. Two girls took care of her and really doted on her when they were treating her and even gave her an ice cream. She ate up the attention so it all turned out ok.
On Saturday, we did one-on-ones. Nate took Kylie to the mall playground and Wendy's for Frosties. I took Logan to the Rush Funplex (we had a coupon). We don't always do pictures of these, but we try to do it once a month. We trade off who we go with. When Ethan gets older, he will be in on the rotation as well. They love it!
