Halloween!

Halloween 2018 was the first time we had a birthday on Halloween! We didn't really do anything with Ethan's birthday on that day, though. We saved it for a party on Saturday, since you have to have a 1st birthday party!

Halloween started with the school parade. It was Nicole's day to work so I bundled up the kids and we went outside to the back of the school and waited for Logan's class and my class to go by. Once they went through, we left. It was pretty chilly.

After school, we went straight to Nate's work so the kids could go Trick-or-Treating there and to pick up Nate to begin the night's festivities. Apparently, our kids were the only ones who came so it was good that we went since many of the employees were prepared with some candy to hand out.

We went from there straight to Grandma Hill's to show off their costumes to her and to get candy. She always has Reese's and Kit Kats since she knows that's what our family likes! I guess the other families must like those as well! It was so crazy busy, that we just did a quick picture of their costumes outside of Grandma Hill's house

Ninja and Doc McStuffins. We were so excited to find that costume for Kylie! She loves Doc!
Right after that, we went to Grandma Summers' house for Pizza and for Ethan to open his present from us. A lift-the-flap book! Then to Trick-or-Treat around their neighborhood. There is one house (Grandma's friend) that has a pretend witch on her porch that makes noise. Kylie was pretty scared of that one. We only had Ethan do a few houses (not that one!)

I love that one of their neighbors owns an apple orchard so they get to pick an apple! The kids tend to eat it the very next day, so they must love it too!
