Ethan finally started crawling! He did do it before he turned 1! We didn't think he would! He caught on really fast once he tried it out! I just realized that the videos that we have of it are pretty funny. Kylie was being a little too helpful and wasn't giving Ethan space to crawl so on one of our crawling videos, she is crying in the background because we wouldn't let her "help" him anymore.
The week before Halloween, we went to the PTA fundraiser Halloween party at Logan's and my school. They got to wear their costumes for the first time. The year before, the prizes and games were really fun, but this year was a bit of a let down. The lines were super long and the games weren't being monitored very well so some kids would be on it forever (pick up the balls and do it again instead of going to the back of the line) and then the next kid could only go for second. They also only had prizes for a couple of the games. And they just weren't that fun of games. And we could only get one slice of pizza, even for the adults. So we were pretty hungry. Anyway, it's a fundraiser, right? So I guess I shouldn't expect much!
Saturday we went to the temple, then to a Halloween Party (with costumes) at my parent's house. I volunteered to make a soup and I decided to Broccoli Cheese soup and it curdled and turned out terrible! It tasted ok, but the texture was awful. There were all sorts of other cute Halloween type treats/snacks as well. There were a couple of games that the kids played and in the end, my mom gave all the grandkids a goody bag. They had a fun time!
And we did pumpkin carving, which is always fun. Our kids are funny about getting their hands goopy though. That was my favorite part as a kid!
Ethan stuck his hand right in! Just seeing what all the fuss was about, I guess!
It was my turn to teach preschool and this was an activity we did for letter F.
I was proud of Kylie. She was being so careful!
