Summer is Here! (2019)

At the end of the school year, the 4th grade has a Rendezvous where kids can turn in "beaver pelts" at a "trading post" to get stuff. One parent donated these very expensive Jazz bobble heads and then gave them to each of the teachers. We put them in Nate's office area since I knew Nate would enjoy them more than me.

The style for boys hair right now is to have really short sides and a long top. I have been wanting to try it on Logan, but didn't want him to go to school with it if I messed it up really bad. So I did it as soon as school was out. I thought it turned out pretty good! But Logan didn't like it (don't let the smile fool you). So we slowly let it grow back to his normal style. 

The kids started right away with swimming lessons. This was Kylie's first time doing swimming lessons so it was spent just getting used to the water. Logan finally made some progress on actually swimming for a bit! He went from the stairs to the side of the pool. Probably about 8 feet. So I'm not to the point where I feel comfortable enough to have him swim without floaties, but at least it is starting to click for him.

My Uncle Kent passed away. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just a few months ago and he is already gone. It happened so fast. Their family came here to bury him so he could be in the same cemetery as their son and my grandparents. It was a sweet funeral. I got to see Nick for the first time in who knows how many years! So that was good.

But I don't seem to have any pictures of those events. Oh well!
