The 1 Year Old!

Logan's accomplishments this month have been more with his fine motor skills. He's figured out that everything has a place so he will take things out and put them back in again. The only unfortunate thing is that when he is done doing this, they are usually out. But it is an improvement! Things he takes out would be clothes out of a drawer, toys out of his little bins, the lids of my Tupperware, the safety cover on the electric socket (that's the scary one!), there's probably more that I can't think of right now. He can also put some of the blocks on his Melissa & Doug train. The only problem is that if he can't do what he wants, he gets frustrated easily. I just try to encourage him and help when needed.

Logan is really into stuffed animals, especially the bunny pictured above. There are days that he carries it with him everywhere. It's pretty cute but I don't want him to become so attached that he has to take it everywhere with him. I was never attached to anything and I think it would be easier to not have to bring a certain toy everywhere because what if you lose it?

Logan is becoming a pickier eater and I don't know what to do about it. He will scream until I get him something that he wants. Yes, scream. It drives me nuts. Sometimes its just that he wants his food a certain way. If I cut up his carrots, he won't eat them, but if I give them to him whole (cooked), then he will eat them until they get too small, then he will stop. He will eat pretty much any fruit, its mostly just the vegetables and some of the main dishes I make that he won't eat.

He is still saying pretty much the same things. Da da, oggy, whassat?, uck, icky (for sticky and stinky), ma ma, he does say hi sometimes. The only ones he does without being prompted is whassat, oggy, da da, and hi.

Logan is finally getting less violent and more loving. He will give good hugs (love them!) and doesn't pull my hair or hit me as often. He still does it, but not as often. I don't have to be scared for my life when I lie down on the floor. Hurrah! He is still the little social butterfly and makes sure all the ladies in the store pay attention to him! He talks to them and they always comment on his blue eyes.

He was totally chillin in the stroller and I thought it was funny.
I am slowly cutting down on his having a morning nap since it seems like he often won't have an afternoon nap if he takes a morning nap. And then he gets really grumpy by the end of the day. The only problem is that he still takes short naps. I'm really lucky and don't know what to do with myself if he sleeps longer than an hour. So basically, I've gotten really good at getting a lot done in an hour and a half (the half because it takes him about that long to fall asleep).

I just love this boy! He's so funny!
We went to the mall for a date one day and Logan tried out the cars (we didn't pay to make them move)
