My birthday was a little different this year. It fell on a Monday, which always makes celebrating a little more difficult. So I had an extra long celebration. It all started at the weekend before Steve and Nancy came. We had a coupon for Carrabbas that had to be used in September, so we decided to do an early birthday dinner. And Italian food is my favorite! We did have to wait awhile before getting in, but luckily Logan behaved well (when we were finally seated) even though he was tired. It was delicious!
I didn't take any pictures at any of these events, but these pictures were taken in this time frame. We enjoyed playing with some stickers that came in the mail. And for once, Logan wasn't trying to grab the camera!
I also had gone shopping a few days earlier for some new khaki pants. My old ones got stained really bad on our Ocean City trip! The only unfortunate thing is that my old ones could roll up and be capri's as well, so when summer comes around again, I will have to buy some more capris or maybe even long shorts. We'll see if I'll be brave enough for that! Anyway, so I already had my birthday gift (besides the camera that we bought awhile ago to replace our old one).
The Friday before my birthday, Nate came home with a bouquet of yellow roses! My favorite! That was certainly a surprise! Then Sunday before my birthday (October 6th) Nate made me a chocolate syrup cake which was divine! So on my official birthday, we just ate more cake when Nate got home from school. He felt bad that he hadn't been able to do much to make my birthday special. But geez, that guy is busy! I certainly don't blame him. On Wednesday, I decided to go to Wal-mart with Logan to spend more birthday money just buying little things that I've wanted but won't spend money on because we can't, like different kitchen utensils and decorations.
Then on Friday we went to IHOP for another birthday dinner (we also had a coupon for it). And finally, just this last Friday, I got my haircut and left Logan home. I just went to Great Clips because they were having a sale. I got about 2 to 3 inches cut off. I only get my hair cut twice a year so I like to take quite a bit off when I do! It's about an inch below my shoulder.
So that was my long celebration for turning 28! I can't believe how close to 30 I am and that on Nate's birthday, he will be 30! Crazy!
This made me realize that I never wished you a Happy Birthday... Guess your birthday celebration is still going (even two weeks later...)!
