Corn Maze

We decided we really wanted to do something festive this fall, so I looked to see if they had any corn mazes around here and found one nearby that seemed really awesome! It had didn't just have the corn maze and pumpkin patch, but it also had a petting zoo and tons of fun things for kids to do. Unfortunately, Logan was still a little young for a lot of the games and obstacle courses, but the petting zoo made it all worth it!

We went on Saturday October 12th. It was extremely crowded! I had no idea it was going to be like that, otherwise we probably would've tried to go earlier. But we went later because we also were going to a birthday party that evening for someone in the ward. So it worked out better to just go out once.

But anyway, it was crowded and hard to find a parking spot, but we found one and made our way to the ticket booth. After the tickets we just explored things and had Logan try to ride a scooter thing. He wasn't really into that, so then we went to the petting zoo and he was loving it! He certainly was not afraid of any of the animals! He pet goats and baby cows. The rabbits were too shy so they hid in their little houses. You could still see them, but it was hard to touch them. The pig looked gross so I didn't want to touch it or get close enough for Logan to touch it. And the chickens were just crazy! They roamed around the whole area freely. It was pretty funny! The cows were especially easy to pet and Logan loved getting in close and touching them.Of course, it was usually more of a hit than a pet. We are still working on what "soft" means.

I kept trying to get a picture of him actually touching the goat but he always pulled away too fast.

Bunny. Logan was really trying to get in
Same with the cows, couldn't get a picture of him actually petting

After the zoo, Logan played in a corn pit (like a sandpit, but made of corn). He didn't really know what to do and stayed in the same spot!

Then we got fried snickers (so good) and decided to head over to the corn maze. We weren't sure how long it would take and didn't want to be late to the party since we wouldn't be staying very long. The maze was shaped like a dinosaur, like one with a long neck and tail. We looked at a map (it wasn't too detailed) and decided if we mostly took lefts, we would be able to get out of there. We did pretty good, only getting lost for a short time.

If you look really close then you can see the map of the maze

The weather was great and it was lots of fun doing something so festive! After that, we went to Wendy's for dinner then to the party. We were the first people there from the ward (besides the birthday boy (man) and his family), but people eventually starting showing up. Logan was having a blast dancing to the music and playing with the balloons. There was a DJ and everything! After about an hour, we left so we could get Logan in bed at a decent time.
