We did our usual 4th of July stuff. First we went to the Kaysville pancake breakfast and met some of Nate's family there. Immediately afterwards, we drove to Tooele to be with my family and were able to catch some of the parade there. Angie and Rob were still here so it was good to spend some more time with them. Logan wasn't getting into grabbing the candy at the parade. I'm not sure if it was because we came in the middle of it or what but he only got a couple of pieces and mostly just stood around. Then he finally just came and sat on Nate's lap. I kind of felt bad. I wasn't sure if he was really enjoying it or not.
After the parade, we went home for a bit and decided to carry on the new tradition of playing volleyball at the church. We left Kylie at home with my mom since she was sleeping. We have fun getting out and moving a bit and the kids are getting older and better behaved now so it wasn't as hard to be in the nursery with them. We would take turns being in the nursery.
Then went home and my parents showed us pictures from their recent trip to New England. They went there with my dad's sisters and brother-in-laws to see places where our family would've lived before they came to America. And of course, they also saw the more usual tourist places. It looked like they had a lot of fun and learned a lot. It's so beautiful there!
And of course we had BBQ dinner which was yummy. The kids had a water balloon fight in the backyard which lasted, maybe 15 minutes:) Logan and Easton mostly enjoyed just squirting each other with the water balloons. We actually went home before fireworks. Nate had to work the next day and it was just a crazy full house so we thought it would be easier.
