Fun with the Phelons

While the Phelons were here, we went back to Temple Square and actually had the chance this time to check out the Family History place in the Joseph Smith building. We each had an Ipad and went to different stations and it told us different things about our family. I actually didn't stay in very long because Kylie and Annalisa weren't into it, so I took them back out to play with toys. I only did one station. It showed where my family came from and I was surprised to see that some came from New Zealand. Logan joined us out there a little bit later. Sometime we will have to go back either without kids or when the kids are a bit older and will understand it better. We also went to the Church history museum.

Trying to lift a temple block

Kylie wanted to get out of the stroller after we got out of the museum.
Another day we did the tradition of tie dying shirts. I dressed appropriately for the occasion this time so I didn't ruin another pair of pants and I didn't worry when Logan got a little carried away with the squirting. He did a great job and even helped me make Kylie's. We did it during her nap but she was just as excited as he was to wear her new shirt!

We also spent days just chillin at grandma's. On one of these days, we did a lot of outdoor games and Aunt Cindy got the kids doing a water fight (in their regular clothes). It all started with little squirt guns, but then the big boys brought cups outside, and pretty soon buckets were also involved. So Aunt Cindy starts it, but I'm the one that the kids start throwing cups of water on! So I also ended up getting soaked along with the kids.

Trying to dry off by sitting on the air conditioner. It worked quite well when it was running

Playing darts and horseshoes before the water fight.

Another day we went on a little hike up Birdsong trail in Ogden canyon. Nate was working that day so I had to hike with Kylie on my back. The weather was really nice for it, unlike the time we went with just our little family and it was windy and really cold! It was just the right length. (Some of the kids might have wanted it to be shorter). But Logan did a great job hiking and Kylie enjoyed it once she was comfortably in her seat on my back. After the hike, we took a potty break in Rainbow Gardens and looked at the little shops there.

On Steven's birthday, July 16th, we all went to Golden Corral to celebrate for lunch then went to the Summers' to watch him open presents and to all eat cake. That evening, Logan and Nate went to an
Ogden Raptors baseball game with everyone. I just took Kylie home and put her to bed because it was going to be a late night. A foul ball was hit near them and a player gave it to Steven. So that was an awesome birthday present for him! It sounded like they had a blast and Logan just loved being with his cousins.
