On Labor Day both Nate and I had work off so we decided to have a Family Home Evening at the Bountiful Temple. It was closed (even the temple grounds) so we just walked around the outside of the fence and talked about the temple and eternal families. We happened to run into a man who is practicing at becoming a photographer so he volunteered to take some pictures of us. He just used our cheap little camera, so don't judge him:)
These first couple were before he offered to take our picture. Then he saw us switching places and offered. It was really nice of him.
Logan took this one
Later that day we went to the Summers' for a BBQ. It was a nice little break from work.
That Wednesday was Logan's first day of Preschool! He goes to a place really close to our house and goes MWF from 9-11:30. It was sad that I couldn't be there on his first day, but at least Daddy was able to take him. I love that she has a scripture of the week and will sometimes talk about gospel topics along with the usual preschool stuff. Logan has finally learned to write his name! So I'm happy with his progress.
Nate didn't remember to get a picture with the backpack on, but that's ok.
That evening he also had his first soccer practice and soccer game. I was able to get involved in kind of a soccer co op so it's free besides paying for the T-shirt. We just have to volunteer our time for something and I volunteered to help paint numbers on the shirts. Logan was put on the red team and when he first learned he was on the red team he said "oh no! That's the bad team!" Poor Logan has been taught that red is the bad team because U of U is red and that blue is the good team because of BYU. I explained that since he was on the team, it was a good team and that not all red teams were bad. He was ok with it after awhile. So the way it works was a 1/2 hour practice and then a 1/2 hour game. Nate wasn't able to come to the game because he had to work late, but he was able to go to later ones. It was just hilarious! They would chase the ball even when it went out of bounds and the coaches would have to chase after them to get the ball back in bounds. And some of them would just stop playing right in the middle and come sit with their parents even when it wasn't break time. I was proud of Logan because he stayed out and played the whole time! He was best at playing defender but he ran all over that field even when it was only him and one other player from his team playing. He did great!
Kylie snuck in this one.She has a huge sore under her nose because she fell down a couple of cement steps in Grandma Summers' backyard.
