Color Run and Girl's Retreat

That Friday, I volunteered at my school to throw chalk on the parents and students who came to The Color Run. That day, I had a huge headache and I didn't want it to bother me during the thing, so I took prescription strength Ibuprofen or Motrin (I can't remember which one) which was really stupid. I went to Utah/Idaho Supply right before to get some things for the classroom and while I was there I started feeling really sick. I felt like I was going to faint or throw up or both. I had to just sit down in the middle of the store for awhile and hope that it would pass. And luckily it did. I still didn't feel great when the Color Run started, but by the end, I was feeling fine. And I learned my lesson. Don't take prescription strength unless you really need it and can stay home and lie down!

I was downwind, so I got really messy too!

My principal is the blond behind me and the assistant principal is the brunette.

The PTA put on the Color Run to raise money for another mobile lab for the school. They really went all out in this event. There were food trucks and sponsors and of course, the fun run. I got to be the last chalk station with the principal and assistant principal so it was good to get to know them a little better. We threw blue and purple. I had to take the kids with me because Nate wasn't home from work yet and they were so good! They loved just sitting on the curb watching everyone get chalked. I put Logan in charge of watching Kylie and they were amazingly well-behaved. I was very proud of them. Nate did get there towards the end and since they were being so good, he just stayed with them. He took them home and I stayed a little bit longer to clean up.

The next day, I went to the annual Girl's weekend at my Aunt Doralynn's cabin. I actually wasn't going to go, but Angie came up from Arizona so I decided I could come down from Layton. I didn't spend any nights there though since I had that color run the night before. And I spent most of my time just planning for my next week of school. But it was good to be with my sisters, mom, cousins, and aunts even if it was only for a few hours!

While I was at the cabin, Nate took the kids to Artic Circle for lunch and met his parents there then they went back to Grandma and Grandpa Summers' house and Grandpa cut Nate and Logan's hair.
