Labor Day Weekend and Other Happenings

Since Kindergarten does all that testing at the beginning of the year, this last week was Logan's first real week of school. He said he made friends with a girl on his table, Emma. They play at recess together. I am glad he is making friends since he didn't know anyone at this school since he is at my school instead of our neighborhood school. And we haven't heard anything bad from his teacher, so he must be behaving, cross our fingers that it continues.

Nate was busy this week with a flag football game and a softball practice. Both are ward teams. The flag football is on Wednesday though so he can only go when it is a late game since I have young womens and this one was a late one.

Saturday we went to Sadie's baptism! They asked me to accompany Brinley and Cambree on the piano while they sang a musical number. Missy did get me the music earlier in the week, but I wasn't able to practice it. So we all got there a little early to practice it together. I think it went well. Then while I was there, someone from Missy's ward asked me to play the interlude music while Sadie and Shawn got changed and to do the closing song so that was fun to do spur of the moment! Ha ha! Sadie is such a cute girl. After the baptism, we went to Missy's for a lunch.

That night we slept over at my parents because the next day was Isaac's blessing. He was born in July so he'll only be a few months older than Ethan. Nate said that he was so cute in the circle. He was wide eyed and just looking at all the men. After church, we went to the Davis's house for lunch. They got out their croquet so Nate, JJ, and some of the kids played. The Hancocks and Collettes had to leave earlier so it was just us and the Davises. I was too pregnant so I just sat on their bench swing. Nate won! He was very proud of himself since he hadn't played since he was little (at his grandma's house! That's when we played croquet too was at our grandma's!)

These pictures are dated Sept 4, Labor Day. So Kylie must've dressed up in the get up before we went to Grandma's. She looks amazing in her Frozen crown, shoes, and wand and her Minnie Mouse sunglasses with a few extra bows in her hair.

The next day was Labor Day and we went to the Summers for a BBQ and they played in Grandma's "waterpark" for the last time for that summer. We brought some water balloons that were gone in about 5 minutes, ha ha! They also got a new swing set. The old one was falling apart. The kids really love it! It has a teeter totter, a baby swing, a big kid swing, a trapeze, a two person glider, and a big swing where a baby and a big kid can sit in it at the same time.
