Moving

The weekend after his one month birthday, we were able to move to a townhouse in the same complex as our apartment. It was a very busy weekend. We had more stuff shoved in that little apartment than I had thought so it took a few more trips than expected. We were absolutely exhausted Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. This was the first activity I had done since Logan was born. I didn't do a lot of lifting, but I did lighter things, I packed, and cleaned. And of course, I took care of Logan in between. The poor baby spent most of all 3 days in the swing. Nate did the lifting and did some packing and cleaning. He was also still working, so he was doing all this in the evening and on Saturday. A few men from the ward brought their larger vehicles and helped move our furniture and the boxes that I had packed at that point.

After all that moving, I felt bad that we hadn't paid much attention to Logan, so I spent a lot of cuddle time with him the next week and only unpacked about 1 box a day. Because of that, the living room/dining room wasn't cleared out enough to put up the kitchen table until the next Friday. We did all of our eating on the couch. And we're still not completely unpacked. However, it's pretty much just decorations that are still packed. Because of that, I don't have pictures here of the new place.

But it is so nice! We have 2 bedrooms, so Logan has his own room, 2 bathrooms (one is a half), and an unfinished basement. Room for storage!  The really great pluses are a dishwasher, counter space (in our old apartment the only counter space was where we had our microwave so I had to prepare meals on the kitchen table), and a washer and dryer! We actually went out on the Monday after we moved in to buy those. We had a coupon for 25% off Kenmore, so we got Kenmores and had them delivered on Wednesday. No more coin-op! Such a great feeling. The only thing we are missing now is a garbage disposal. They don't seem to be quite as common out here in the East/Midwest.

And here are just a few pictures of Logan in our new house:

Sitting with Daddy and looking so big
His favorite place to be besides in our arms
Trying to capture his smile but my camera is slow so this was the best shot.
He started to smile for real at 5 wks and he tries to copy our facial expressions.
