Summer Fun!

There is a family down the street who are members of our ward and have a son a little less than a year older than Logan so we often get together for playdates or I go over there to use her sewing machine. She is so into crafting and has made so many cute things for her son and for others so she encourages me in my crafting. So anyway, during one of our playdates, Everett (her son) pulled out one of his new toys from his birthday which was a guitar that played music. He would push a button to make the music start and Logan and Everett would dance around the room. It was so cute! She got video on her phone, but I can't get it to play on my computer so I figured it wouldn't work on here.

She also told me that there was a family safety carnival (I guess you could say) at Target the next day. There would be free food there and we could get our kids fingerprinted just in case something were to happen. So since both of our husbands were at school that evening, we decided to go together. We got great samples from different local restaurants that had stands there and we got our sons fingerprinted. There were also a few mascots that the kids liked to point at and a firetruck. They both LOVED the firetruck. I didn't think Logan would care too much about it, but when I tried to get him out, he was pretty upset. These pictures are from the firetruck.

Logan was trying to push Everett off, thus the reason for my hand. I was making sure my child behaved! I guess he didn't want to share the space.

During the summer, we have also been going to story time Wednesday mornings and playgroup with people from the ward afterwards at different parks (when it's not raining! It's been a wet one this year!). It's been fun to get out and be a little more social, especially since Logan is a total social butterfly. In the grocery store, he waves at everyone that passes and says hi. He certainly isn't shy! Opposite of me! Anyway, so at one of the parks, there are lots of geese and ducks. So we were eating lunch and Logan was eating one of those fruit/veggie pouches and there was a goose hoping we would throw him some crumbs. I didn't think to bring anything extra so Logan tried to give the goose the lid from his pouch. He was trying to hand it to him like he would hand something to me and I was worried the goose would bite his hand! But I think it knew that the lid wasn't something it wanted. But it was pretty funny! That's what the picture below is about. It was hard to get a good picture when Logan was on my lap!

  1. I am so jealous of Logan's hair! I swear, all of the little boys get the gorgeous locks.
