Halloween!

Our stake had a Halloween party, I think it was the Wednesday before Halloween. So Logan was dressed as a pirate and I was his parrot and Kylie was dressed up like a bunny and Nate was the magician. I made a soup for it so we ate soup and rolls and then went to different activities. Each ward made a different activity for the kids to do. One was glow-in-the-dark dancing, one was kind of like the cake walk but with candy, one was throwing balls in something, one was bowling, etc. Logan had a lot of fun but we did everything pretty quickly because Kylie does not like being up past her bedtime.

On Halloween, we first went to Grandma Hill's house so she could see the cute kids. Then we went over to the Summers to show them the costumes and we ate pizza. Then we went back home and Nate took Logan out Trick-or-Treating in our neighborhood while I handed out candy to Trick-or-Treaters at our house. Unfortunately, we did not get very many. I think since we are on the edge of the townhouses and there are only 4 homes on this little strip, people just didn't make the trek over here. They missed out though because I started giving a handful of candy to each one! And we still had leftovers. I was a little bummed because I just love Halloween and the community spirit that comes with it and I was so excited to pass out candy like crazy! Oh well, maybe someday we'll live in a neighborhood like I grew up in with lots of trick-or-treaters. Or maybe it's all just dying. I hope not.
