Doing Fireworks at Grandma's
Sparklers!
For the Fourth of July, we just did the normal activities. We did the fundraiser breakfast at Davis High in the morning (pancakes, eggs, ham, Tampico), parade, cookout at Nate's parents', some small home fireworks, and the city fireworks at night. Just Logan and Nate went to the fireworks show this year and I stayed home with Kylie and Ethan. Maybe we will let Kylie come next year.
We went to the temple for Shannon's endowment on the fifth. I picked Nate up at the Woods Cross station and we went straight to the temple from there. It is always a wonderful experience to see a family member enter into those sacred covenants and Shannon is a good girl and ready for it.
We had a mini Davis family reunion because two of my dad's sisters were in town as were quite a few of my cousins. It was held at a park in Highland/Cedar Hills area so we drove down there. We ate, chatted, and the kids played on the playground. Some also played water balloon volleyball. It was fun to see Darci. I keep forgetting that she has dyed her hair blondish so I am always shocked when I see her!
When we got back from the reunion, we were planning on watching Black Panther, the Marvel movie. However, a little into the movie, Nate got a desperate text from someone in the ward saying an old lady needed everything in her house moved into a U-Haul that night because she needed to be out of the house in the morning. That was around 9:30 at night. Nate finally got home from moving her stuff around 11. I had already gone to bed. It was crazy but I'm glad Nate was able to help out with that sticky situation. We just finished the movie the next day.
Ethan is 8 months old and his top two teeth came in recently so now he has 4 teeth. He is not a good teether. It makes him unhappy. And he often gets sick, runny nose and sometimes diarrhea.
Logan talking about his favorite things as a 6 year old. We are trying to do a little video of them each year talking about what they are like at this age.
